Weekend Box Office: 'Allegiant' Is No Competition For 'Zootopia'

The Divergent series is still a thing, but just barely, as this weekend’s release of Allegiant grossed (just) $29.1 million, 46% off Divergent ‘s opening in 2014 and 44% down from Insurgent in 2015. Rotten Tomatoes numbers for the franchise are 40%, 29%, and 10% for the latest, respectively. This installment received a lackluster B Cinemascore.
