The Beethoven cello sonatas are in high rotation this season at the Kennedy Center: Steven Isserlis did four last fall, Yo-Yo Ma will do four next month and, this week, Sharon Robinson offered all of Beethoven's cello/piano works (five sonatas and three sets of variations) over two evenings at the Terrace Theater, presented by the Fortas Chamber Music series.
