Our downstairs neighbor got very pushy about our noise level through the old hardwood floors. She was so aggressive that we ended up making very thoughtless purchases on area rugs. Fast forward 3 years and we are stuck with this noise-smothering area rug [photo below] in our bedroom and no idea how to decorate our bedroom around it...
