In trading on Friday, non-precious metals & non-metallic mining shares were relative laggards, down on the day by about 2.1%. Helping drag down the group were shares of A.M. Castle & Company (CAS), off about 32.8% and shares of Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (SID) off about 10.5% on the day.
