In trading on Thursday, biotechnology shares were relative leaders, up on the day by about 1.5%. Leading the group were shares of Peregrine Pharmaceuticals (PPHM), up about 32.6% and shares of Keryx Biopharmaceuticals (KERX) up about 15% on the day.
