Jupiter's Auroras 'Dance' In Hubble Time-Lapse | Video Since Voyager 1 discovered the Jovian auroras in 1979, several observatories have captured the them in x-ray, ultraviolet and visible light. The NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope was used to capture imagery of the auroras for about a month.
