I don't usually write about observations that haven't been done yet, but this is so interesting I wanted to tell y'all about it. Next year, due to a quirk of geometry, it'll be possible for astronomers to search for moons or other debris around the exoplanet Beta Pictoris b. They won't be able to see the planet itself, but if there's stuff around, that might be detectable. The star in question is Beta Pictoris, which is about 60 light-years away (that's relatively close). It's more massive, hott...
