(King Abdullah University of Science & Technology (KAUST)) Indium tin oxide, the current material used in transparent electronics, is becoming very expensive thanks to the rarity of indium. Using atomic layer deposition, researchers demonstrate the capability of aluminum-doped zinc oxide as a powerful alternative to indium tin oxide, thereby providing a cheaper option.
