Prince's Estate Is Suing JAY Z's Roc Nation for Illegal TIDAL Streaming

Prince's estate has sued JAY Z's Roc Nation for copyright infringement. The suit comes after TIDAL was accused of illegally offering and streaming some of the late musician's songs on its service. Filed in the United States District Court in Minnesota by NPG Records, the suit says that JAY Z's TIDAL offered Prince songs such as "If I Was Your Girlfriend" and "1999" illegally when the streaming service expanded Prince offerings around the time of his death on June 7 without approval.
