Help! How Can I Update These Inherited Chairs? -- Good Questions

(Image credit: Apartment Therapy) Q: My grandmother recently passed and I have the sad task of emptying out her apartment. Her style was very different from mine, but she has a pair of chairs that are surprisingly comfortable. I'm not a "style visionary" like most people here on Apartment Therapy so I can't imagine how this chair might be transformed.
