Rapid diagnostic test helps distinguish between severe and uncomplicated malaria in Africa

Working at a health center in rural Uganda, researchers have demonstrated for the first time the potential of using a low-cost, routinely available rapid diagnostic test to distinguish between severe and uncomplicated malaria in children.
