The economic recovery from the crisis of 2008 has been one of the slowest in history. Bank regulations spawned by the crisis (read: the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act) are the main culprit. Indeed, regulations have been ill-conceived, procyclical, and fraught with danger.
