Researchers use AI and accelerometer data to predict heart rate while saving battery life

In a study published on the preprint server Arxiv.org, researchers at Philips Health and the University of Bristol describe a machine learning algorithm that can predict heart rate from almost exclusively from these sensors, thereby extending the battery life of wrist-worn devices.
