Montana State scientist wins grant to study how deep-sea microbes break down carbon

(Montana State University) Roland Hatzenpichler, assistant professor in MSU's Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, is leading a project to collect microbe-rich sediments from the floor of Guaymas Basin to study the microbes' role in carbon cycling.
