Can Alibaba Ever Act Like Amazon?

I've given up trying to microanalyze Alibaba. Comparably, I conceded on Amazon, years ago, then concentrated on their percentage gains in revenues. Earnings can follow on, right? Jeff Bezos hit a homerun on early entry into cloud computing.
