On a Saturday night in SoMa, about 40 diners sat down at a long table lined with banana leaves and piled high with delicacies—slices of crackly-skinned pork belly, whole fried petrale sole, tangy sinigang broth, shrimp glazed with banana ketchup, and as many mounds of white rice as there were paying guests.
