Laverne & Shirley star and prolific director Penny Marshall died of complications from diabetes this past Monday. She was 75. After starring in the Happy Days spinoff Laverne & Shirley, Marshall would go to direct some of the biggest and best-loved movies of her time including Big, Awakenings, and A League of their Own.
