New approach for solving protein structures from tiny crystals

(DOE/Brookhaven National Laboratory) Scientists have developed a new approach for solving atomic-scale 3-D protein structures from tiny crystals. The advance will open up this structural biology technique to a wide range of hard-to-crystallize proteins in bacteria, viruses, plants, and humans.
