More Effective influenza vaccine begins US clinical trials

(Flinders University) A more effective seasonal flu vaccine is about to be tested in clinical trials across the US. The current flu shot was substantially less effective during a second wave of tougher flu strain this past season. Researchers say says current flu vaccines do provide some protection, but a lot can be done to improve their effectiveness.
