FDA approves UVA-developed artificial pancreas

(University of Virginia Health System) The US Food and Drug Administration has approved an artificial pancreas system -- based on technology from the University of Virginia Center for Diabetes Technology -- that automatically monitors and regulates blood glucose levels.
