Liver fibrosis 'off switch' discovered in mice

(University of California - San Diego) UC San Diego School of Medicine researchers identified several genetic switches, or transcription factors, that determine whether or not liver cells produce collagen -- providing a new therapeutic target for liver fibrosis.
