Investigational COVID-19 vaccine candidate prevents severe clinical disease in animals

Barouch, MD, PhD, and colleagues demonstrated that the optimal vaccine elicited robust immune response in Syrian golden hamsters and prevented severe clinical disease -- including weight loss, pneumonia and death.
