Mutant KRAS and p53 cooperate to drive pancreatic cancer metastasis

(University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center) MD Anderson researchers have discovered that mutant KRAS and p53, the most frequently mutated genes in pancreatic cancer, interact to promote metastasis and tumor growth. The findings point to a new therapeutic target for this deadly cancer.
