Rina Sawayama found a fan in Elton John with the release of her debut album SAWAYAMA last year and now, after becoming friends while in lockdown, they’ve teamed up for a collaboration. Sawayama and John redid the SAWAYAMA track “Chosen Family,” with John adding in his own vocals and duetting with the British singer, really hammering the message of the song home. Both Sawayama and John — who were profiled in T magazine this weekend — had some nice words to say about each other.
