Genetics, not the intrauterine environment, controls abnormal development

(Yale University) Yale researchers have shown that developmental abnormalities, including those that lead to pregnancy loss and autism, are controlled by the genetics of the fetus and placenta -- and not the mother's intrauterine environment.
