Health status of vulnerable gopher tortoises revealed in Southeastern Florida

(Florida Atlantic University) In previously unstudied gopher tortoise aggregations, researchers found that overall, 42.9 percent had circulating antibodies to an infectious bacterium that causes upper respiratory tract disease.
