UK invests over £30 million in large-scale greenhouse gas removal

(UK Research and Innovation) Researchers will investigate the adoption of technologies at scale that remove CO2 from the atmosphere. These include management of peatlands for carbon accumulation, rock dust spreading on fields, tree planting, carbon sequestration using biochar, and bioenergy grasses and willow crops. Work on the 4.5-year projects will begin this month in multiple trial locations, coordinated by a central Hub.
