Columbus Blue Jackets goalie Matiss Kivlenieks dead at 24 after 'incredibly horrific accident' while fleeing firework

Matiss Kivlenieks, the goalie for the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, died Sunday from "chest trauma" from the blast of a firework, the medical examiner's office told the Daily News.
