A new mathematical model assesses ICU patients' mortality risk

(Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona) Researchers from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) Department of Mathematics worked in collaboration with the Hospital de Mataró in developing an artificial intelligence-based model for predicting the risk of death of intensive care unit patients according to their characteristics. The model will improve the quality of care in these types of units.
