MediaTek announces new Dimensity 1080 chipset for mid-range smartphones with support for 200MP images

Taiwanese semiconductor company MediaTek has unveiled its latest mid-tier chipset, the Dimensity 1080. The chip is the successor to 2021's Dimensity 920 and is built on TSMC's N6 6nm manufacturing node. The Dimensity 1080 features numerous improvements over the Dimensity 920, including the chip's image processing capabilities.
