Sony has issued firmware updates to its FX3 and FX30 cinema cameras adding a DCI 4K/24p option along with support for anamorphic shooting. Both cameras gain an XAVC S-I DCI 4K mode that lets them shoot true 24 fps video in the 4096 x 2160 pixel DCI 4K format, to provide 1.90:1 (~17:9) capture.
