Nike co-founder Phil Knight and his wife have donated $400 million to a fund that has been created to aid the redevelopment of a historic Black community in Portland, Oregon. The money will go towards the 1803 Fund, which will focus on the Albina neighborhood in the city which has experienced downturns over decades due to redlining and urban renewal projects.
