For three years, Liam Livingstone has existed on the one-day international periphery, the nagging sense remaining that England are not getting the most out of his talents in the 50-over format. Given an unexpected chance to captain the side, Livingstone promoted himself to No 5. And, in his second game there, Livingstone produced the most significant innings of his ODI career.
