Income Tax: Why does almost everyone want ITR filing deadline to be extended beyond 15 September?

Income Tax: Over 5 crore taxpayers have filed their tax returns. Out of these, 4.72 crore returns are verified and 3.39 crore returns processed. In contrast, a total of 7.28 crore ITRs were filed last year till the deadline of 31 July 2024.
