Opinion: Sony Buying Tamron is a Bad Idea

There are several reports going around on how Tamron has confirmed that Sony has made a bid to purchase them - or at least to purchase most of the company. Sony is already a fairly large shareholder in Tamron and they have been for years. At the same time, it's also been a well-known fact that Tamron has even publicly admitted that they make lenses for other camera brands. But you should be aware: Sony buying Tamron will mean that the entire photo industry will majorly shift.
