This ridiculous electric carWhy have a Jeep when you could have this? French company Swincar debuted its Spider Electric 2 offroad vehicle at "The Salon des Inventions" — an annual exhibition for inventors and their... inventions — in Geneva in April, but a video of the car is now generating attention online The company very accurately describes it as a "mechanical spider on wheels." It uses a fully independent suspension (i.e. wheels are fully independent of each other) with massive control arms, which give it incredible levels of wheel articulation. This means all four wheels will remain on the ground no matter how treacherous the terrain gets. Its axles can even cross over each other, which is unlike any vehicle before it.

Reddit bans racistReddit is removing several racist communities from its website, as well as other offensive discussion topics, part of an ongoing effort to clean up the most toxic content on its site. Where's Palmer?

The Verge - 6 Aug 2015 21:08
Today the cover of Time Magazine is graced by Oculus founder and sandal-wearing wunderkind Palmer Luckey, for a feature story entitled "The Surprising Joy of Virtual Reality and How it's Going To... Change the World." And to demonstrate the limitless, future-melting power of the Oculus, they had him wear one of his company's headsets. On a beach. Barefoot. Dancing? An ecstatic half-squat? A torsal thrust? How can we describe Luckey's stance in this photo? An ecstatic half-squat? A torsal thrust? To be fair to Luckey, nobody looks cool in an Oculus, especially not in a seafoam polo. But unfortunately, this image does less to sell the dream of teleporting to the white sands of Hawaii and more to raise incredible suspicion about...
