How To Talk To Children About What Happened In Newtown

While grown-ups sort through Friday's massacre at an elementary school in Newtown, Conn., those of us with children are grappling with the delicate question of how to talk to them about this tragedy. Sadly, this is the second time in my son Jack's life that I have faced this question on such a grand scale. The first time involved 9/11, which took place five miles from our home.
