Husband's actions halted brutal attack by wife on daughter in Westwood, police say

The husband of a Westwood woman who allegedly maimed her 9-year-old daughter with electric hedge cutters early Monday broke down a locked door in the couple's home in the midst of the attack, wrested the tool from the woman, and held her in a bear-hug as he waited for police to arrive, according to the arrest report.
