Peru fines Pluspetrol for damage to Amazon pond

LIMA, Peru (AP) -- Peru's environmental protection agency has levied a $7 million fine on the Argentine oil company Pluspetrol for damage in the Amazon jungle to a pond in the country's biggest oil concession.
