Hospice Firms Draining Billions From Medicare

Over the last decade, the number of patients who are discharged alive from end-of-life hospice care has risen dramatically, a Post investigation has found. This has happened in part because hospice companies are recruiting those who aren't actually dying. These patients are more profitable because they require fewer visits and stay enrolled longer, the Post found.
