Dale Mortensen, who won the Nobel Prize for his research on supply and demand in the labor market, died last week at the age of 74, leaving economic academia without one of its foremost labor market scholars of the past half century. His death also left Finley Edwards, another labor market researcher, without the star player on his fantasy economics team.
