Credit card payment volume growth was lukewarm in the U.S. during the fourth quarter of 2013. Credit card volume — the value of purchases made with credit cards in aggregate — grew by 4.4% quarter-over-quarter to $634 billion. That's a deceleration from the 5% growth seen during the same period in 2012. For the full year, volume grew to $2.4 trillion in the U.S., a 7.9% increase year-over-year.
