Lviv residents in Western Ukraine came to the city's cathedral on Saturday (February 22) to pay last respects to a local who was killed during violent Kiev clashes earlier this week. Bohdan Solchanik, 28, was killed by sniper fire on Independence Square in Kiev on Thursday (February 20). He was a history teacher at the Ukrainian Catholic University. More than a thousand people came to the memorial mass, including the city's authorities and those who never met Solchanik.
