Clinton says nation needs gradual debt reduction

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- Former President Bill Clinton said Saturday that the supercharged political environment makes cutting the government's long-term debt a difficult task -- and cited a recent Republican tax plan as a perfect example.
