CIT Group Soars On $3.4 Billion Acquisition Of OneWest Bank

CIT Group Inc. (CIT) announced today that it had reached a deal to acquire IMB Holdco LLC, the holding company that owns OneWest Bank, a Southern California-based regional bank, for close to $3.4 billion in a cash-and-stock transaction.
