NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- When a company like Home Depota loses its customers' personal data, it has to act quickly if it does't want to lose what remains of its reputation as well. A five-month-long Home Depot data breach that led to the theft of upwards of nearly 60 million consumers' credit card numbers and other personal data reopened gaping holes in U.S. credit card security.
