China Promises Permanent APEC Blue In 2030

Blue Skies are ephemeral in China. Bouts of intense smog returned to Beijing as Chinese regulators relaxed the strict pollution-control measures they implemented before the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum. The effort to impress visiting foreign dignitaries gave the city a rare breath of clean air - nicknamed APEC Blue to describe something that is beautiful but short-lived.
