Japan's Fiscal Situation Is Not As Bad As Many Assume

On January 14, 2015, the Japanese government has decided its budget for the new fiscal year. The total amount of the government expenditure would be 96.3 trillion yen, the largest amount in Japanese history, while the amount of new debt issued has shrunken to 36.8 trillion yen, the smallest in the past six years.
