The National Collegiate Athletic Association is probing alleged academic fraud at 20 colleges, 18 of which are Division I schools, according to the Chronicle of Higher Education. The cases concern accusations that professors, academic advisers, and other school workers offered improper aid to student-athletes. The revelation comes after an independent report, released last October, found rampant academic fraud in the University of North Carolina's athletic department.
