Alkermes Plc (ALKS) Discontinues Development Of Pain Treatment; Stock Drops

Alkermes Plc (NASDAQ: ALKS) stock dropped 4% today as the company said it plans to discontinue the development of its pain treatment drug, ALKS 7106. The announcement was made after an initial stage study failed to demonstrate results, which were required to graduate it to mid-study clinical trials.
